Rules & Regulations To ensure smooth conduct of the tournament, fair play, and a positive learning environment for all participants, the following rules and regulations must be strictly adhered to by players and parents. ? 1?? Scoring System • All matches will be played on 15 points – Best of 3 games format. • Up to Round of 16: No extension will be played at 14–All. • Quarterfinals onwards: Extension will be allowed up to 21 points after 14–All. • The referee’s and tournament committee’s decision will be final in all scoring-related matters. ? 2?? Reporting Time • All players must report at least 30 minutes before their scheduled match time. • Failure to report on time may result in a walkover, at the discretion of the tournament officials. ? 3?? Match Scheduling & Delays • Match timings are indicative and may change or get delayed depending on: • Match durations • Court availability • Progress of earlier matches • Players and parents are requested to remain patient and cooperative throughout the tournament. ? 4?? Dress Code – Players • W18 Academy Uniform is mandatory for all matches. • Players not in proper uniform may not be permitted to play. • Non-marking badminton shoes are compulsory on court. ? 5?? Dress Code – Parents (Coach Chair Area) • Parents who wish to sit behind their child’s match in the coach chair area must adhere to the following: • T-Shirt and Track Pants are mandatory • Parents not following the dress code will not be allowed in the coach chair area. ? 6?? Shuttle Policy • Feather Hybrid Shuttles will be used for all matches. • Shuttles will be provided and regulated by the tournament committee only. • Players are not allowed to bring or change shuttles during matches. ? 7?? On-Court Behaviour & Code of Conduct • Players and parents must maintain discipline, respect, and sportsmanlike behaviour at all times. • Any form of: • Arguing with officials • Disruptive behaviour • Coaching interference • Unsporting conduct will result in immediate action, including warnings or match forfeiture if required. • The tournament is a learning platform, and positive behaviour is expected from everyone involved. ? 8?? Mobile Phones & Distractions • Parents sitting behind the court in the coach chair area must keep their mobile phones switched off or on silent mode. • Phone usage during live matches from the coach chair area is strictly prohibited. ? 9?? Video Recording Guidelines • Video recording is allowed only under the following conditions: • Recording must be done using a tripod • Tripods must be placed only behind the court • Recording is permitted only from designated areas approved by the tournament committee • Handheld recording, movement during matches, or court-side obstruction is not allowed. ? ?? General Authority • The Tournament Committee reserves the right to: • Modify schedules if required • Enforce rules strictly • Take disciplinary action in the best interest of the tournament • All participants, parents, and spectators are deemed to have accepted these rules upon registration. ?
